23rd Oct - Birkmyre hit Firhill!
Glasgow Warriors vs Connaght (8.00pm KO).

Kids, Dads and first team players going down. Half time will be Birky minis vs Greenock!

Once game has finished we will hit the town (obviously not drinking too much with a game the next day!).

4th Oct - Birkmyre Barbeque
Birkmyre are hosting a big mini Rugby festival (1:00pm KO).

The event will include mini games, and a Dad's/Vets game.

There will be a BBQ and some beers. We would love to get as many people down supporting as possible, especially senior players to support our Mini Section.

26th Sept - Bus Trip!
There will be a provided Bus to the Mid-Arygle game.

No doubt the bus will be making a few scheduled (and unscheduled) stops along the way!

2009 Renfrew Cup
This year Birkmyre will be hosting the prestigous and exciting pre-season Renfrew Cup Tournament.

The tournament will take place at Birkmyre Park on the 29th of August and will involve Birkmyre, Paisley, Renfrew and Bishopton Rugby Clubs.

It should be a classic showcase of open rugby, so make sure you come along to witness this fantastic event!
AGM
Club AGM & Dinner 2009
Birkmyre Rugby Club held their annual AGM and Dinner in the River Inn in Crosslea on Friday 8th May. Jason Andrews, the proprieter and the clubs main sponsor, yet again laid on an excellent fare for the 90 attendees.

An added attraction on the evening was the presence of two former, and highly respected Scotland and British lions rugby legends, Ian "Mighty Mouse" McLauchan and Sandy Carmichael. Both players spoke of their experiences on tour, and participated in a fascinating question and answer session afterwards, led by MC for the evening Kenny Fletcher.

Following an extremely amusing speech from final speaker Tommy Wilson, Willie presented a cheque on behalf of Birkmyre Rugby Club to Ian and Sandy for £1,250 for their "Hearts and Balls Charity" This money was collected on the evening through a raffle and an auction of Lions memorabilia, and Birkmyre would like to thank the generosity of those who contributed..
